Performance Information

A dual media, sound and movement experience, simultaneously occurring INSIDE the former Peet’s Coffee shop and viewed OUTSIDE from 14th street’s sidewalk. Visitors can watch the performance projected onto the windows and look through cut outs in the window to see the live movement.

Uremovich (projection), Hsu (videography), Diouf (sound) and Ewing (performance) are longtime CulturalDC collaborators. INSIDE/OUT builds on a body of performance and technology work that seeks to dissolve the boundary between art and everyday life by using technology to create the spectacle of theater in pedestrian settings.

INSIDE/OUT was created with the support of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities Project, Festival and Event grant. Additional support provided by Stavins & Axelrod Properties.
